Technical Writing | Copy Editing

I took part in technical writing with the Physics club at my University, and I helped several of them get into graduate school and receive positive reviews on their national grant proposals. In addition to simplifying technical topics, I also took part in simplifying physical jobs. Here is where you’ll find the topics I helped dissect and simplify for any reader to approach.

NSF GRFP – Proposal

This is an application to the National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Foundation Program. The role I took in this was to simplify the language, improve the cadence, and market to researchers to accept the applicant.

NSF GRFP – Personal Statement

This is the personal statement that was attached to the application described above.

Restaurant Training Manual

I was a Shift Supervisor at a west coast pizza chain, and over the course of my 5 years there, I wrote a training manual for all the jobs in the store.

Cabin Rental Procedures

These are detailed instructions to describe the opening and closing procedures of a rental cabin. This document details draining house pipes, shutting off power, and preparing a home for winter in the Sierra mountains.

Coffee Shop Menu

A freelance job I took on was editing the menu for the local coffee shop in my town. This details beverages and food items on the menu.
